Sorèl has been in the mental health sector since 2009 when she commenced work as a Community Mental Health Practitioner, with a large NGO, where she provided psycho-social support for clients with complex mental health conditions, principally those with severe forms of schizophrenia, psychosis, and personality disorders. Sorèl then became Provisional Psychologist working in general practice.

For the last five years Sorèl has been working as an Accredited Social Worker and psychotherapist in her own private practice, One Life To Live. Here she specialised, principally, on transgender psychological well-being and assessment for medical interventions, particular to that community.

Sorèl is trained in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), emotionally focussed couples therapy (IFT) and Brief Therapy.

Sorèl is returning to the profession of psychology to complete the provisional registration she was unable to complete previously.

Sorèl is an accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society, the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPath), and LGBTIQ+ Health Australia.
