Referrals

Direct Referrals from individuals, families, childcare centres, pre-schools and schools are welcome.

A referral from your GP is not required unless you are registered with the Enhanced Primary Care Program and wish to claim some of your sessions from Medicare. Psychology clients may be eligible for a Medicare Mental Health Care plan from their GP. NDIS clients can be referred directly or via their Support Coordinator.

If you are not sure whether you need to see a speech pathologist or a psychologist, please contact us for a discussion on 08 8182 3335. All enquires are usually discussed with a senior speech pathologist or psychologist to ensure that the most appropriate service is negotiated.

Appointments

Appointments will be organised on availability. After hours and Saturday appointments are available. The length of initial consultation or assessment will vary according to need but will be negotiated with you prior to that consultation taking place. An online client information and consent form is to be completed either before or on the first consultation day. Appointments will not go ahead if this form is not submitted. For NDIS clients, an initial service agreement for assessment or the initial appointment will also be required. The cost of initial consultations or assessments includes a full written report and a program and recommendations where appropriate e.g. for class teachers, other professionals involved and carers.
